What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts.
