Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Buchanan County, Virginia. The role involves: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Able to grind and set HSS cutters Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
