Safety inspector — Ottawa County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety inspector in Ottawa County, Michigan. The job is in a chemical processing unit. What we are looking for: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot Day-to-day duties: • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements Performance bonus on top of base pay.
