Immediate opening: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in LaPorte County, Indiana. Day-to-day duties: • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting You should have: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
