Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Massac County, Illinois. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Confident with standard crane hand signals Day to day you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads.
