Tailor machinist • Bichi, Kano State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Bichi, Kano State. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around ₦215,000 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
