Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Lyman County, South Dakota. The job is at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Day-to-day duties: • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Full-time with occasional weekends.
