Panel welder — Duval County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Duval County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
