Abattoir worker — Steele County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Steele County, Minnesota. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Your main tasks: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
