Marble fixer — Kankakee County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a marble fixer in Kankakee County, Illinois. The job is at a marble and granite workshop. Your main tasks: • Restore old marble by honing, crystallising and buffing back to finish • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades • Work from cutting lists and installation drawings • Lift and handle heavy slabs safely using suction lifters and trolleys • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess before it sets • Lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to work in a team • 2+ years' experience working with marble, granite and natural stone Full-time with occasional weekends.
