Rigger — Jackson Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Jackson Parish, Louisiana. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
