Die-casting operator • Morgan County, Indiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Morgan County, Indiana. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time, day shift.
