Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in DeKalb County, Missouri. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination You will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block.
