Crane operator — Goochland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane operator in Goochland County, Virginia. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Requirements: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • A good head for heights for tower crane work Day to day you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; read and interpret the load chart before every lift. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Share your details and we will call you back.
