MIG welder wanted in Wayne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG welder in Wayne County, Michigan. On the job you will handle: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Full-time, day shift.
