Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Ifedore, Ondo State. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
