Steel fixer wanted in Wayne County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Wayne County, North Carolina. You will be based on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Day to day you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
