Immediate opening: conventional mill operator (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Milam County, Texas. You will work in a toolroom. You should have: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to grind and set HSS cutters On a typical shift you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
