Great opportunity: bricklayer (Alabama)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bricklayer in Madison County, Alabama. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks On a typical shift you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
