Now hiring: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Stanton County, Kansas. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
