Foundry operative wanted in Brooks County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Brooks County, Georgia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time with occasional weekends.
