Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe lagger in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy building site. You should have: • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Disciplined about PPE — respirator, gloves and goggles Day to day you will carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks; seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant; torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations; measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings; install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape; spray polyurethane foam onto walls and roof decks to the specified thickness.
