We are recruiting: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Chambers County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges The role involves: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
