Blocklayer — Day County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Day County, South Dakota. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
