Immediate opening: we are hiring a laundry presser in Leslie County, Kentucky. The job is at a dry cleaner's. You will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
