Immediate opening: argon welding operator (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Kinney County, Texas. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
