Fusing press operator — Vernon Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a garment factory. Day to day you will clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
