Pipe TIG welder • Refugio County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Refugio County, Texas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
