Brickwork mason • Cheyenne County, Nebraska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Cheyenne County, Nebraska. You will work on a busy housing site. What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
