Vacuum press operator — Cherokee County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Cherokee County, Alabama. You will work at a garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Six days a week, one day off.
