Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Owerri West, Imo State. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher On a typical shift you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case.
