Single needle operator • Hardin County, Illinois

Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Hardin County, Illinois. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Your main tasks: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
