Mechanical press operator — Jackson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Jackson County, Michigan. You will be based at an auto components factory. The role involves load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts. You should have: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses 3+ years on the tools preferred.
