You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads.
