Pipe tig welder — Jackson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Jackson County, Mississippi. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. We offer $2,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
