Brickwork mason — Piatt County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Piatt County, Illinois. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
