Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator technician in Rockwall County, Texas. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. On the job you will handle: • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring 2+ years on the tools preferred.
