Reinforcement fitter — Saint Clair County

Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Saint Clair County, Michigan. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day-to-day duties: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
