Shuttering fixer — Jefferson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured. You should have: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
