Bulldozer operator • Massac County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bulldozer operator in Massac County, Illinois. You will be based on a road construction project. What we are looking for: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
