Foundry worker — Isanti County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Isanti County, Minnesota. The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 2+ years on the tools preferred.
