We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Alcorn County, Mississippi. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
