Blocklayer — Concordia Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day to day you will raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $130 per day plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours.
