Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Stanton County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
