Die-casting operator — Eureka County

Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Eureka County, Nevada. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts.
