Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crawler dozer operator in Montcalm County, Michigan. You will work at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant Your main tasks: • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil Rotating shifts.
