Great opportunity: we are hiring an escalator technician in Perry County, Missouri. You will work in a residential tower block. You will respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. Ideal candidate: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Part-time with flexible hours.
