MIG welder — Newcastle upon Tyne

Join our team: we are hiring a MIG welder in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. You will work on a structural steel site. Day-to-day duties: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently 6+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
