Precision welder — Jackson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Jackson County, Indiana. You will be based on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer $170 per day plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
