Immediate opening: presser (Georgia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a presser in Clarke County, Georgia. The job is in a tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets On the job you will handle: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics 4+ years on the tools preferred. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
